AUGUST 10, 2011 - Stryper frontman and accomplished solo artist Michael Sweet announced his departure from legendary rock band BOSTON today, in order to devote his full attention to his longstanding role as the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for multi-platinum rock outfit Stryper – a band he co-founded in 1983.

Sweet joined BOSTON in 2008, sharing lead vocals and playing guitar on a headlining tour of North America, performing the band's classic hits like "More than a Feeling," “Peace of Mind,” “Amanda” and “Don't Look Back.”

Stryper is currently in the studio working on an untitled release for 2011.

MAY 14, 2011 - It is with great regret we must inform all STRYPER fans in Mexico that the band has had to cancel the scheduled dates listed as follows:

• May 26: Teatro Estudio Cavaret - Guadalajara
• May 27: Centro Banamex - Mexico City
• May 28: Escenica Live - Monterrey

Although ready, willing and able to perform, the promoter had made this impossible by not fulfilling his contractual obligations to the band. While this cancellation is quite disappointing to STRYPER, management and agency, the process of rescheduling shows in Mexico is underway.  It is important and necessary that all STRYPER fans in Mexico understand the bands dedication to their fans around the world, and their obligation to honor their word and commitments.

FEBRUARY 13, 2011 - Christian rockers Stryper are offering fans a head banging view of who their influences were early on, with the arrival of an almost entire album's worth of covers, 'The Covering.' Set for release on February 15th via Big3 Records, the album includes twelve  rocking covers, as well as an all-new original tune, "God."

FEBRUARY 3, 2011 - Jack Marques (former lead vocalist of Mars Hill - Produced by Michael Sweet) is releasing a new solo CD on March 20, 2011 entitled "Shine among the Shadow".

"Shine among the Shadow" is a mixed blend of influences which results in his own unique sound. This CD is edgy and melodic and holds something for everyone!

The CD features Stryper's Tim Gaines on the songs "People-n-Things" and "That Song" along with Ty Tabor of King's X!

Jack also sang back-up vocals on "Something" and "For You" on Stryper's 2003 release "7 - The Best of Stryper".
