I have waited 25 years to meet Michael Sweet, and it happened to me this past Tuesday (3/22/11). The band I work for Alive-n-Kickin had opened up for Stryper and being in the right place at the right time, there was my photo op!

Meeting Stryper here in New York was amazing. They were really nice guys and signed old records for my friend Mike and I. The show was phenomenal!! The best live show I've ever seen.
 
I have been a fan since 11th grade ('86). This show was amazing, I was less than 10 feet from the stage! Mike is one of my all time favorite singers next to Elvis and Paul McCartney. He sang (& played guitar) spot on as always... high notes and all. I know he was exhausted after an amazing performance, but he was very gracious in allowing me to meet him after the show and get an autograph/photo on the tour bus. Exceeded my expectations!! I love Stryper! I LOVE Mike Sweet!
Back in 2009 i got to see stryper live for the first time. They have been my favorite band since 1987. It was a dream come true to finally get to see them and meet them. Oz was so awesome to my wife and me. So down to earth and nice. The greatest Guitarist ever. Thank you Oz for treating us so good.
Back in 2009 when i saw Stryper live for the first time in 24 years. Tim was so cool to us. He treated us so nice. It was such an honor to have met the best Bassist ever. Thank you Tim.
My first time seeing Stryper live back in 2009 in Indianapolis, IN. I got to meet the guys. Robert went out of his way for my wife and me. He treated us like we were the Rock Stars. The nicest person ive had the honor of meeting. It was a dream come true for a 24 year fan.

I always wanted to meet Stryper and see them play live , each time that they was on tour never playing where I can see them , finally they was in Nashville, TN at the Wild Horse Saloon it was a dream come true for me ... thanks... Tim, Robert, Michael, oz it was nice finally meeting you guys...

H.O.B. Oct, 4th 2009 - at the VIP pre-show. Lisa & Dan's wedding song in 1989 was Together As One - and Lisa's cousin Cindy is married to Frank Dimeno from the band Playground which Oz also plays with.
I was privileged to meet the band at the pre-concert meet and greet in Portland, 3/3/11. They were all very friendly and sweet. I had longed to meet them since forever, so it almost felt surreal finally having the opportunity to do so. Robert, in particular, was so nice and down-to-earth, and very patient with my spitefully malfunctioning camera. I'll treasure the memory of this experience forever. Thank-you, Stryper! Best (early) 21st birthday present ever.

Michael (and his family) came to Meltdown music weekend in England, 1998. It was wonderful to meet him, he was so great and happy to be with us, signing our stuff, playing pool, chatting with us! He played acoustic solo songs and Stryper hits with UK band 'Crucifer' backing him!
2nd Stryper Expo, Oz had just introduced Oil, had to stop for a couple minutes, there was a wedding going on across the street. But anyway, was a most awesome day! Billy said to say hi, thanks so much Oz.
I had the chance to meet Oz Fox when they were on their reunion tour late 2003. Stryper played at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh. We were talking about the last time they came to Pittsburgh during their In God We Trust tour in the late '80's and were talking about whether or not the venues they played at in the past were still there. My 1st ever Stryper concert at The House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Right after the concert, some friends and I were just walking around and we saw Robert Sweet. We shook hands and stuff. And I remember I told that he's better than Ringo Starr. I hope I see Stryper again for the 2nd time.
It was incredible to meet the band. I saw them in Carvin Booth, in NAMM show 2011. Last time I saw them was in Texas in 1989 because I don't live in USA, so, I wait a while to hear them play again.

I took my son, who was 12 at the time, to his first Stryper concert. We had meet and greet passes and my son got to meet all the band members and get his picture with them. Stryper made a new fan that night and I don't think that will be his last concert! Thanks to the guys for being so nice and accommodating to my son and I.

I was coming out of a friend's birthday party at the Conrad Condado Plaza in Puerto Rico. That day the Stryper concert was taking place in the Choliseo and I had wanted to go but didn't have the money to pay the ticket so I couldn't go,which let me tell you sucked. So I went to the birthday, had an awesome time and when I was coming out, there she was, Annie Lobért! She was SO sweet! We talked for a minute and then came Oz and I went into even MORE shock! 1987, Civic Center in Lakeland FL. The band needed a 'roady' for the day. I helped set up the drums, shined cymbals, got a photo just before they hit the stage and then was blown away by another spectacular Styper show.

After "To Hell With the Devil" show in Toledo, Ohio. I remember this was my first concert ever, none of us were old enough to drive at the time so our friends mom took us to the show. Packed like sardines in a hatchback from Findlay to Toledo. I was 15 then, now I'm 40, wow where did the years go. I now have a 2 year old daughter, she says 'I want to hear Stryper' so cute. You guys are the best in my book.I've now seen you guys 6 times 86' 88' 03'03' 06' and 09' I'm a Stryper freak for life.

BWI Airport, Baltimore - Sept 2006: I had the honor of driving Michael to the airport the day after a solo show of his. I spent a few hours with him and had a blast!

I am a Principal of a Christian school near where Oz lives. After winning passes to meet the band following the REBORN show in Anaheim, CA, I asked Oz if he'd be willing to come to my school and share his testimony with my students. In February 2008, he did just that. I got to take him out to lunch and he gave me a preview of MURDER BY PRIDE!
A couple months after Oz came to my school in early 2008, he called me to see if he could borrow the DVD slide show I had made for when he visited the school, as he had a similar speaking engagement coming up. Since it was at my house, Oz came by MY HOUSE to make a copy of the slide show! Afterward, my kids (Emily and Matthew) and I took him out to Carl's Jr for dinner!
I 'met' Tim and Michael over the telephone back in 1990 doing an interview for a music fanzine my friends and I made back then, and then I met Michael VERY briefly after his first solo show at Knott's Berry Farm in 1992, but my first real opportunity to meet all four in person was at the Stryper Expo 2 in Azusa, CA in 2001. Here is a collage of me meeting the guys.
This picture was taken November 12, 2005 on the Reborn Tour. It was taken outside of Rigdle Theater - Fort Worth, TX. This was the second time that I've seen Stryper in concert. As was the first time, it was amazing. I am from Mexico and I drove more than 15 hours to see my favorite band!
My wife and I flew from Alabama to Vegas to see Stryper on the 7 Tour. We scored backstage passes and got to hang out with the band afterwards. All the guys were in great spirits and were so gracious to hang out, laugh, and take photos with us. STRYPER RULES!!!
In 1989 my friend flew out here, to New York, from California to take me to a Stryper show in my home town. Turns out, she has known the Sweet brothers since they were teenagers. We got to hang out with them for three or four days. It was so cool!

Oz was doing an in studio interview for "Murder by Pride" at my local rock station 96.7 KCAL and I went down to see if I could meet him. They allowed me inside where I was able to talk and take some pics.
