MOST MEMORABLE STRYPER MOMENT:
"It would have to be the garage days when we had open rehearsals before we were signed. Two or three people would come in and we'd play. The next week we would do it and we'd see ten people. The next week twenty people, the next week thirty people, and the next week fifty people. It kept growing and growing, and we saw God moving. We knew that God was going to do something major." |
MOST EMBARRASSING STRYPER MOMENT:
"During the 'To Hell With The Devil' tour I was walking out on stage, my pants ripped out. It was in the front part of the pants, with no undies! They duck-taped me up with black tape. When I started moving and getting into it, I could feel it coming apart. So I did the whole show with my legs together." |
FUNNIEST STRYPER MOMENT:
"We had so many, we were all clowns. There were practical jokes left and right, and there was always a guinea pig. There were food fights, and pranks. The four of us would always get on the bus before the crew, who wouldn't come in until one or two in the morning. They were just beat from packing gear all day. So we would pick out a guinea pig and load his bunk up with stuff like whip cream and graham crackers. We would all be in bed with the lights out when whoever would crawl into his bunk. You could hear this guy who was dead tired start yelling `Ahhh! Who did this...'! We were always goofing off like that." |
FAVORITE STRYPER OUTFIT:
"My main 'To Hell With The Devil' outfit, which was in the promo pictures and also in the 'Calling On You' video. It was the most comfortable, and I think it looked the best." |
FAVORITE STRYPER GUITAR:
"The first one that I bought, a Randy Rhodes Flying V with no bar. I bought it white, and then I had it painted with the design. It's the one in the 'Live In Japan' video. I played it live for the whole 'Soldiers Under Command' tour, and used it recording 'Soldiers Under Command', 'To Hell With The Devil' & 'In God We Trust'. It sounded great, played great, and it never went out of tune. I could play it through the whole set and never have to give it to the guitar tech to tune." |
FAVORITE STRYPER VIDEO(S):
"Free" & "Two Time Woman" |
FAVORITE STRYPER TOUR:
"To Hell With The Devil" |
PRE-STRYPER BANDS:
"When I first joined my brother, we didn't have a name. First we were 'After-Math', and that only lasted a few months. Then we played around with 'Firestorm', which again only lasted a few months. Then we decided on 'Roxx', which lasted about a year. There wound up being another 'Roxx' in our area, so we changed it to 'Roxx Regime'." |
MESSAGE TO THE READER:
"It's always so important to thank everyone for hanging in there with us and supporting us. It's really been incredible to see all the people that support what we do through letters, e-mail, and financially. Without them and without God, it would have never happened." |
